Returns Information

Your purchase may be returned within 30 days of purchase for a refund. Refunds are only allowed for sellable merchandise. Sellable merchandise is an unopened bag still in its original condition. For all refunds/credits you must have proof of purchase. If you don’t have proof of purchase we will not be able to offer a refund or credit. Proof of purchase is your email confirmation, the packing slip received with the shipment, or your order number.

All items returned must be shipped in a shipping box.

What are the shipping charges for returning an order?

Please ship your item back to Wakefield Biochar at your expense. 


Orders may be cancelled at any time prior to shipping confirmation. No fees will be assessed with a cancellation. However, once an order has shipped it will be the customer’s responsibility to return the merchandise in its original packaging for a refund. All shipping expenses are the responsibility of the customer.

Shipping Errors

In the event that Wakefield Biochar ships the wrong item we will make good on the order by correcting the issues at our own expense. Shipping services will be through standard UPS Ground for all ‘make good’ shipments.

Is it safe to use my credit card?

Yes, it is safe. Wakefield Biochar processes credit card transactions through a secure socket layer (SSL). In plain English, this means that your personal and credit card information is encrypted so that it cannot be intercepted and read as it travels through Internet space. 

What types of payment are accepted?

We accept credit card payment through Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and PayPal. 

What happens to my order when submitted?

When your order is completed online, you will receive a confirmation of order via email. We will process the order and notify you of shipment. All ordinary communication regarding your order will be sent via email. Please be sure to provide us with a valid email address when creating or editing your account. It is vital for you to stay informed.

Do you ship to PO boxes?

Yes and No. We are able to ship 1 or 2 units of the smaller bags (gallon and 1 lb) through USPS. However, the larger box (1 cu/ft box) and orders with multiple units of the 1 lb and gallon bags must ship by UPS Ground and cannot ship to a PO Box. If you are shipping a smaller quantity of the bags to a PO Box please select Ground shipping and our staff will adjust to USPS if it is available.

Pricing & Availability

Wakefield Biochar works really hard to make sure that everything on the site is in stock, ready to ship, and priced appropriately. Wakefield Biochar does not warrant that the site will be error-free. Should a site error ever arise, we will fix it ASAP. Pricing and availability of products on the site and in our retail store are subject to change without notice and are at the discretion of Wakefield Biochar.


For orders made from within the United States, sales tax will be applied to all orders shipped to a Missouri address. 


All customer information is solely for the use of Wakefield Biochar to process your order. An option to allow for future email correspondence regarding biochar product information and Wakefield Biochar promotions will be offered. No customer information is shared with third parties other than the shipping service partner.
